Let’s talk about me

I did a post 5 years ago and I wanted to reshare this.. might be interesting to see if there are changes. Let’s talk about me:
1. What is your name?
Growing up I was called Patsy (though for brief moments I did answer to “Jesus Christ!”), at the old age of 19 I decided Patty was more mature.
Now is where it gets tricky.
My sister Joan’s kids call me Aunt Pat, Aunt Patsy, Beautiful, Pat, Pats, Hey You and (while pointing) ‘She told me too‘.
My other sister (Judi) and brother (Gil)’s kids call me Aunt Trish (whew they kept it simple).
Danny (the hubby) calls me hun or babe, whichever comes out first.
My boys call me Mom, though for a while I swore my name was “What’s for Dinner?”
My youngest (24 now 29) still calls me Mama.
My friends call me Patty
The grandkids call me (you guessed it..) Nana.
The IRS knows me as Patricia.

2. What’s your favorite movie of all time?
Mary Poppins – She took chaos and made it perfect! (Well.. Practically Perfect!)

3. Are you mostly a clean or messy person?
Clean used to mean a whole different thing to me before having children in my life. I know the old saying.. A place for everything and everything in its place. My place has everything, that’s as far as I’ve gotten.

4.What was the last book you read?
New- Ducks dont wear socks! returned it to the library so Im not sure who wrote it.. will look that up.
Old- Monster Toddler by John Wallace. Anthony loved the book so much we read it twice!!

5. What super-power would you most like to have, and why?
Oh good one.. lets see. I can already leap over small children to quickly save a fall. My kisses have the ability to heal boo-boos. I can make it out of a grocery store without losing a child (most days). I guess I would pick flying, that way I could save when going east to see my other grandchildren.

6. Where do you live? Do you work?
We live on the southern Oregon coast.
(this answer is still the same only insert the name Carter where you see Anthony. Anthony is now considered one of the older kids)
Im not employed in the traditional sense. My days of unemployment start at 5:30am and end around bedtime. I go to the kids house and get the older children off to school. Then wake up sleepy head and get him ready for our adventures. Anthony and I go to the park, Mommy and Me, Story Time, walks and such. We get back in time to make/have lunch with Poppy.

The afternoons consist of singing ABCs and counting 123s. Reading books we checked out at the library, building the best lego creations ever.. (I don’t exactly know what they are but wow are they cool hehe). We play basketball, soccer and tugOwar (that’s new and it means he pulls me until I give up!) When his mom comes to get him we have a 15 minute debate about getting his shoes on. I usually win. The goodbye hug.. Sometimes they are free and sometimes they costs me chocolate!

Then the typical wifey stuff.. What’s for dinner? Did you get a chance to “insert any task that can NOT be done with a 3 yr old here” ? *eye roll*

7. Tell about a favorite event of your adulthood.
Our Wedding Day! I have had some great moments over the years and many I reflect back on and cherish but nothing has topped our wedding day. I’ve been blessed every day since! I’ve never been so in love or felt more loved. Danny is the best!

8. Tell about a favorite event of your childhood.
Im not the only daughter but I am the youngest one. When I grew up my older sisters were pretty much out on their own. I was home with 3 icky brothers!! Im a “Daddy’s Girl”. I used to march in the majorettes, my dad was at every practice and every parade! Id have to say some of my favorite childhood moments were parades or fundraisers with my dad! (Hey Dad if you read this.. Remember Mable? haha)

9. Optimistic or pessimistic?
No sense being pessimistic, it probably wouldn’t work anyway.

10. What do you most appreciate in life?
My family! Always!!
