Whats for Lunch?

Recently at the local middle school a child sent his mother a photo of what the school served him for lunch. She posted this on a facebook group page for other parents to see. Her post was removed but the admin of that page. It started a huge discussion that isn’t available anymore. Makes me wonder if it’s the politics of offending the wrong people or was it the admin of the page just really trying to abort an issue that took away from the shopping/selling posts that usually appear. I wont name anyone here but I will say the focus of this topic became more about the group admin removing this than the issue at large.

That issue was: Recently at the local middle school a child sent his mother a photo of what the school served him for lunch. It was a picture of a sandwich made at the high school and sent over to the middle school for consumption. This was purchased by the student. The bread was moldy! This wasn’t a pre-packaged sandwich that sat in a machine, it was handmade THAT MORNING. This is what is being made/served for the children of this school district to eat.

If the people preparing the food cant even see moldy bread, how careful are they being with other food allergies the children have. My grandchildren have dairy allergies, their mom asked the school for the kids to have juice or water instead of milk. The schools reply was they need a doctors note. Seriously! So my grandson throws away a container of milk and drinks water brought from home. I think there is a problem with this school district! Jamie Oliver where are you?! We need your help!
