FitbitcolorRecently my grandson spent the night, he kept tapping my fitbit. That changes it to sleep mode which makes it vibrates. Finally I gave up and took it off and put it on the night stand. The next morning things got hectic and I forgot the fitbit. Later that day I went to put it on the charger and it was gone! I was sure it would turn up, maybe that sneaky toddler might know where it was.

After a few days and no luck I contacted fitbit. I asked if they could help this frazzled Grandma or save that sneaky toddler. I don’t know what I expected really, I was just hoping maybe they would offer a replacement deal. The next day I received an email stating that they would send me a replacement. Seriously!! I was super excited. As if I didn’t love this thing before I really love the company now! I was so lucky (this time, better believe I will take better care of this one). Three days later my fitbit arrived, I was able to set it to my account.fitbit2

I got my fitbit July 4th I figured it would help me become more independent (groan) but seriously I had hoped it would help me figure out my fitness. I need to move more and seeing those steps really helps keep me motivated. I use it with an app Myfitnesspal to keep track of my food/calories.

FitbitNov-2-2014Fitbit is a device that you wear on your wrist, at least the one I wear is a wristband. They have many that can be in your pocket, wasteband or even on a necklace. As long as you keep it on your person it will track steps, distance and calories burned. At night it tracks your sleep.

I love that it charges fairly fast and its water resistant. One of my favorite things is the mini parade/celebration it makes when you reach your goals. In the morning I set my fitbit to record very active minutes. After I have been active for at least 30 minutes it will vibrate, the lights flash and it makes you feel good that you reached your goal. Then after that I set it to tell me when I have hit my steps for the day.

What do you do to reach your fitness goals?
