National Coffee Day!

Grab a cup of coffee and celebrate “National Coffee Day!”

Its hard to believe where coffee came from — a group of hopped-up goats.

Cup O'JoeAccording to the National Coffee Association, an Ethiopian goat herder was the first to realize coffee’s wonders: “It is said that he discovered coffee after noticing that his goats, upon eating berries from a certain tree, became so spirited that they did not want to sleep at night.”
Today, those berries are then harvested and processed, the beans dried, milled and exported, the coffee tasted, roasted, ground and brewed — all to get to that steaming mug in front of you.

Did you know:

-Contrary to popular belief, light roast coffee actually has more caffeine than dark roast.

-More than 500 billion cups of coffee are consumed each year; more than half at breakfast

-Coffee is actually the world’s second most traded commodity, taking a backseat only to oil.
