Imagination Movers Concert

Last week we went to see the Imagination Movers in concert. Anthony and I had counted this day down for almost two months, I don’t know which of us was more thrilled the day finally arrived!

The concert started with Choo Choo Soul (Genevieve Goings as a hip-hop train conductor and her partner, Constantine “DC” Abramson, a dancer and beatboxer dressed as a railroad engineer). They sang many of their songs from their Disney music videos. I was thrilled they sang Soulful ABC! They really did a great job warming the kids up for the evening.

Then the Imagination Movers took the stage, but not for long. These men walked throughout the audience mingling with the children as they sang and danced. Even though we had VIP passes and were right up front, I was highly impressed that the Movers took time to walk around and dance with all the kids they could.

After the concert we headed down to a special VIP “Think Tank” setup with the guys. They had snacks and water set out for the guests and took requests as they jammed. One dad even yelled out for them to play “Free Bird” and they did a small section as we laughed. Scott started singing “Take a Picture” and that led into the actual picture taking session.

They called us up in groups and we got to go into the area with them. These men are so amazing and do such a wonderful job making sure to entertain not only children but parents/grandparents as well. I found it hard to believe they were my age! I got to shake hands and have a conversation with them and Nina then we posed for our picture.

After that Anthony was ready to go. He was exhausted and had his fill of all the excitement of the day. The next day we made our way back home and on the trip all we talked about was the events from the night before. Im really honored to have met these men and appreciate the positive influence they have on my grandchildren!
