Not my post originally but I totally agree As governors are trying to figure out how to ease back in to a new normal, please remember:🛑 Some people don’t agree with the state opening…. that’s okay. Be kind.🏡 Some people are still planning to stay home…. that’s okay. Be kind.🦠 Some are still scared of getting the virus and a second wave happening….that’s okay. Be kind.💰 Some are sighing with relief to go back to work knowing they may not lose their business or {Read More}
Quarantine
April 28, 2020 By Nana Poppins
It feels like forever. I am not pushing to end this battle with the virus and I’m not taking a political side. I simply miss my grandkids and I want to hang out with them. I would like to bake cookies and tell jokes. We talk on the portal (Facebook messenger) so that’s something. I recently downloaded TikTok. My niece says I went down the rabbit hole. I start to watch it and the next thing I know its 3 {Read More}

My grandson, Carter, doesn’t like traditional headphones. He says they are too bulky. I ordered him a set that that were wireless. I thought the Bluetooth ones would be more comfortable. Yet again they are too bulky and don’t stay charged for very long. I saw an ad on social media about headbands with headphones built in. I decided to order a pair. I was impressed with how fast they shipped. We had them in a few days. We tried {Read More}

Don’t you just hate it when you go to the store to get the thing you just watched a commercial for and they don’t have it? I mean if you are going to advertise it then make it available. I’m liable to forget to go back and get it. I don’t usually remember stuff like that and tend to not buy it later. Everyone seems to be making those cakes from Krispy Kreme but my store doesn’t carry it! It’s {Read More}

My grandson Vincent has autism. I find myself thinking of different things to do for him. I want to challenge him in the same way you would any 4-year-old but I find that with Vincent if he can feel it then it makes sense to him. I considered making toys/learning tools for him. I bought a seat belt restraint to put on him in the car explaining his disability in the event of an accident since he is considered nonverbal. {Read More}
Sunday Dinner

Every week we have dinner together at the kid’s house. Great grandpa, Boogie as the kids call him, Poppy and I go over to their house to eat. The kids love Sunday dinner because we always have dessert! Each week a discussion starts… what do you want to dinner Sunday? Sometimes we are prepared while others times we pull off a miracle. Most of the grown-ups work so usually its myself and the kids… the twins really… making dinner. Carter {Read More}
New Year Resolutions -2017

I started this blog to have a place to share family stories, tips on crafts and recipes, and more things I do with the grandkids. As it has grown it has turned into product review and less about family. I was fine with that because I find myself censoring things I want to say. Basically I have stopped posting. Truthfully this is my format to express myself about anything I want to. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. {Read More}
Big Brother
June 28, 2016 By Nana Poppins
One of the things I like to do is watch reality television. I don’t know why it’s so addicting for me but it is. Every summer CBS comes out with big brother. It’s a show about a social experiment taking strangers and putting them in a house… they can’t leave, there’s no television, there’s no reading and they used to not even be able to know the time. All of the contestants compete in competitions to earn different things like {Read More}
