It's A Boy! We are expecting another grandchild and already know it’s a boy. Ric and Brittany are expecting their second son this fall. Recently her doctor suggested they visit a high risk doctor but haven’t said anything else about what could be wrong with the baby. That kind of not-knowing could cause all kinds of stress for a mother-to-be. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

This past weekend we attended the Water Festival in Port Orford, Oregon. We walked from one exhibit to the next learning about things that need to be changed and what we can do to change them. They had crafts, whale puzzle, face painting and more. They girls really loved the dissection table, I cannot say the same. I did try to convince them that it was all going to be cooked for lunch later. They didn’t buy it!

Spring Break

Spring BreakThis week is spring break for the kids here in my area. I was thinking about things to do with everyone, and on a budget!! So far our plans have been inside since its raining and soggy feet don’t really sound like tons of fun. I don’t mind if they play on the computers as long as it’s a decent website. They mostly play cool math games or Disney junior. Anthony also has reading eggs he can play. I did download the app for chrome so they could play Angry Birds. Now they walk in the door, drop their jacket anywhere and say “Hi Nana, can I play on the computer?” They even seem to be in a competition to see who can ask first. Usually whoever doesn’t get to play on the computer gets to play on the Xbox, its almost like I cant win. Today I think Im going to take the old school approach: crayons, construction paper, glue, glitter and hole punchers. Lets see what they create!! (I have yarn but am holding back on that, I don’t want them to make me a noose!)

What are some of the things you do with your (grand)children?

I have no idea what to write about for a blog post. I always thought it would be great having a blog; I could post about anything I wanted to say. I could vent about issues I wanted to vent about or just brag about how adorable my grandchildren are… We all know I do that often enough, but I cannot help it. I have started a few posts about how much Anthony and I have grown this week. We are learning a new way to work together while folding Carter into the mix. It is a work in progress but we are going to rock!

My hubby and I got a new vehicle. I want to say car but it’s not a car. I was going to type truck but it’s not a truck! I called it an SUV and my kids laughed at me. I looked it up online and Chevy seems to think it is a ‘crossover’.  A crossover (also called CUV: crossover utility vehicle) is a vehicle built on a car platform and combining, in highly variable degrees, features of a sport utility vehicle (SUV) with features from a passenger vehicle. It’s a Chevy HHR is that helps paint the picture lol.

My daughter-in-law (Nicole) is driving me crazy. Her and my son decided to separate. I really do not want to be in the loop. She has called me for information and has used it against my son. So now, I do not answer calls or deal with this. She removed many family members and me from her facebook and is now re-requesting friendships again. Seriously!!

So there ya go…
